As we look forward to welcoming Belvedere Fc to Ben Wadding Pk on Saturday in the SFAI U13 Cup last 32 tie we go back 30 years to 1993 when we last played Belvedere in a SFAI cup tie.

A squad managed by Noel Lavery & Gary McCormack produced a top class display to win the tie. We reached the semi finals that year, losing 3-2 to another huge Dublin club, Cherry Orchard.

Many of that squad went onto win Waterfords first Kennedy Cup in the summer of 1993, beating the DDSL at the semi final stage.

Always great to look at our past while looking forward to this Saturdays tie.
